Abandoned Dog Rescued From The Brink Of Death

;
How heart wrenching is this? A dog named Woody was abandoned and left behind after his owner passed away. The family of the owner sold the house leaving the dog behind. The neighbours found out about this dog and left Woody food and water while searching for someone to ask help from, to save the dog. Woody waited for a year under a nearby shed looking unpleasant. His loyalty was still with his owner as he waited hoping that his owner would return back to him. The dog appears skinny that at the rescuer‘s touch, he can already feel every bone in its body. It has become filthy without someone looking out for it.

The percentage of dogs who have been hastily abandoned because of dislodgement or loss of a home is already increasing. Relocating has always been among the top rationale for abandoning or turning in pets to a shelter. Didn’t they know that when a dog is abandoned and let stray around elsewhere, they may be dangerous and harmful for other people? They can even contribute to the spread of illness. Pet abandonment is a massive problem worldwide. There are a whole slew of loving, adoptable animals abandoned every year. Unluckily, what happened was the family of the owner didn’t even bother to take Woody along with them or drop him by a pets shelter. That has left him forsaken. Poor little Woody was even blind on one eye.

Animals consigned to oblivion surely can be desperate because of hunger strike so they attempt to munch anything around them and strive to survive. Animals abandoned rarely have a chance. Sometimes it can be a little too late. In many instances the animal is found in moribund condition. In all probability, they are too weak to move or worst comes to worst probably dead. Woody was lucky enough because the neighbour came across him without much delay. Luckily Woody was given food and water by the neighbour who found him. It is better to bring the dog to an animal rescue organization then have to go find an animal that is famished and traumatized.

Woody was rescued at first he refused to eat and had to be fed through an IV. He then was groomed and after grooming, surprisingly he looks so dangerously scrawny under those furs that embraced his thin body. After helping Hope For Paws, the Animal rescue organization to rescue Woody, Lisa Chiarelli volunteered to foster Woody. All Woody needs now is a forever loving home. For the first time in a long time, Woody felt loved again. He looked happy to have someone caring for him. All he wanted was to be loved and cared for. After a few months and the once bedraggled dog is beautiful again.
