I have been asking myself for a year now, Why do some people (including me) can’t get enough of scary movies? Personally, I wouldn’t be caught dead watching a scary movie. They freak me out, yes and leaves me unsettled for days — the look have a record player in my mind. All of us enjoys this psychological arousal that Dr. Sparks said according to one of my preferences that we’re just not aware of, we feel intensified. We get satisfaction from watching a scary movie like when we fall in love it becomes an addiction. Instead of remembering the fright hangover it gave us before, We recall and miss that kind of feeling and come back for more and also we like the adrenalin rush of being scared while watching the movie. That feeling we get in the climax where you’ll feel like you’re the one being chased. Also according with what I’ve researched, The men in the audience feel as though they are living vicariously through the characters, conquering their fear safely in front of a screen where no harm can actually come to them. While I’m not a man going through the tribal initiation rite, I’m definitely proud of myself if I can make it through one of those films without turning away or using the mute button on my remote... sometimes. There is a sense of accomplishment when you make it to the end credits of a bloody slasher flick. But I don’t get that all the time.
So here’s a story I have encountered because of my love for scary movies, About a month ago, to my own embarrassment, Me and my girlfriend went to very creepy horror booth in an amusement park near my place. I was so curious because its decorations are very convincing. The sign was written using a real-like stage blood, it has terrifying dummy of iconic horror villains that we see in movies. When I went inside, It started smooth I was with my girlfriend so I acted like I wasn’t disturbed with what I am seeing and with that I was also terrified. The effects looked very realistic and there’s this one part where in I almost pushed my girlfriend because there were two guy who acted like the one from the back removed the victim’s heart in his front. GOD IT WAS SO REALISTIC! They did it in front of me so I think, my reaction was normal. But no, My girlfriend kept on laughing at me which made me really pissed cause it has been two months ever since that incident. Ever since that day, I kept on watching prank videos on the internet, looking at what their reactions would be... I was really that eager to release this feeling for so long. I was so embarrassed in front of my girl, It made me look gay, oh god!
Then I found one, same with what I experienced. The reaction of the old man... YES! This video looks more realistic with what I’ve experienced but looked a lot realistic. They really spent money for this prank. This was uploaded by Half Cast Kid on Youtube last 2014 which reached about a million views and went viral on the internet. By watching this you would see how hilarious my experience was. Enjoy!
