Baby scared of snoring

;
What is snoring? According to what I’ve researched, Snoring is the often loud, harsh or irritating sound that can occur as a person sleeps. The sound most often occurs as you breathe in air, and can come through the nose, mouth or a combination of the two. It can occur during any stage of sleep. You snore when the flow of air as you breathe makes the tissues in the back of your throat vibrate. Sleeping on your back may make you more likely to snore. It may also occur as your throat muscles relax from use of alcohol or other depressants. About half of people snore at some point in their lives. About 40 percent of adult men and 24 percent of adult women are habitual snorers. Snoring is more common in men, though many women snore. It appears to run in families and becomes more common as you get older. Men become less likely to snore after the age of 60. Typically, this occurs when the muscles that keep the airways open become too relaxed or excess tissue accumulates nearby and obstructs air flow Snoring is caused by vibration of the soft palate it is the soft part of the roof of the mouth, as the lungs strain to inhale oxygen through obstructed airways. Any condition that promotes muscle relaxation can have this effect. It includes, Drinking alcohol,Sleeping on an overly soft or extra large pillow, or sleeping on your back. Taking sedating medications and being overweight.

Obstruction of the airways can also be caused by throat or even nasal deformities, such as an excessively long soft palate or uvula, or a deviated nasal septum. A more simple lifestyle changes can stop snoring. These include, Don't drink alcohol within three hours of bedtime. If you're overweight, take regular exercise to lose some weight and also reduce your calorie intake.If you have allergies, try to eliminate allergens in the bedroom, such as removing pets from the bedroom, and regularly washing your bed linen in hot water to remove house dust mites and any mould spores.Sleep on your side. Use a humidifier if the air in your home is too dry.

Medications and alcohol affect snoring. The root cause of snoring is vibration of the tissues while breathing. Some medications as well as alcohol can lead to enhanced relaxation of muscles during sleep. This leads to a smaller airway and greater tissue vibration. As the muscles of the palate, tongue, neck, and pharynx relax more, the airway collapses more. Some medications encourage a deeper level of sleep, which also can worsen snoring.

More specifically, primary snoring is not associated with obstructive sleep insomnia, or other sleep disorders. This distinction is important because of the associated link between the underlying conditions and other adverse health effects. For example, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is associated with higher risks of cardiovascular disease such as heart attacks and strokes. On the other hand, studies have shown that people with primary snoring did not have higher rates of elevated blood pressure compared to the general public. This association is thought to exist because of higher prevalence of high blood pressure (hypertension) in individuals with obstructive sleep apnea. Despite this, there is increasing evidence of a relationship between snoring and other significant health problems. Going back to the topic, Enough of the scientific explanation. Lol! See?
