The senatorial aspirant Alma Moreno admitted that she is hurt upon seeing the internet's reaction to her controversial interview with ABS-CBN news anchor Karen Davila.

The actress-turned-politician Alma Moreno was interviewed by GMA News on Thursday and admitted that she is hurt about the internet bashing towards her interview.

Teary-eyed, she told the media that the reactions did not only affect her but also her family. The memes and comments about her made the former actress feel uncomfortable and uneasy.

The TV Interview focused on her plans and future sights if ever elected as a senator. The senatorial candidate did obviously had a hard time answering the questions and even made jokes to seemingly derail the topic.

She also admitted during the interview that she hasn't gone through much about the issue. The issues discussed ranged from same sex marriage in which she declared as a sin, RH Bill and the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law. She even told Karen that she is being lost within the topic ("Teka nawawala ako") and also had some head-itching situations and a handful of uhh and uhms during the interview.

Some netizens even created the hashtag #PrayForAlma that is seemingly borrowed from the hashtag for the Paris incident.

Meanwhile, Karen Davila's instagram account is being rushed with Alma's supporters and other netizens that accused of humiliating the former actress on purpose.

“When someone is running for higher office - they must have an understanding of issues. This is a standard we owe to the Filipino people," Karen said.

Alma is running for a senatorial seat under presidential bet Vice President Jejomar Binay's United Nationalist Alliance (UNA).

While delivering her speech to the people of Parañaque, Alma pointed out the fact that she was hurt by the amount of criticism and ridicule she received but took a stand that even though she is not as well-read and intelligent as other candidates, it does not make her less of a genuine public server.
