An OFW working as a domestic worker in Saudi Arabia recorded herself while she was locked inside a bathroom.
She appealed to netizens to help her from an unspecified problem, claiming she was probably going to die there.

An appeal is usually made by someone who is in dire need of help. It is a serious request, made in urgency, usually addressed to the general public. Appeals are usually made in the form of petitions, either handwritten or through digital means. A person makes an appeal when he or she is extremely desperate for someone – anyone – to help him or her through a difficult situation.
In most cases, an appeal can also be made in the form of a video, where the individual records himself or herself and uses the platform of social media to voice out their complaints and grievances.

On Facebook, a netizen named Lykachin Mariano recorded herself crying inside a bathroom. The video’s caption was: “Cgoro dito nako mamatay Kong may awa kayo saakin tulongan nyo po ako….”

Mariano said that she was locked in the bathroom, with no food or water to sustain her. However, it was unclear what Mariano was actually appealing for. She only claimed that she desperately needed help in the video she uploaded with no specific details as to the danger she was in.
Upon looking at her Facebook profile, it could be seen that Mariano tagged herself as a domestic worker in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. Tabuk is located in northwestern Saudi Arabia, a country notorious for its rampant abuses against overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

Mariano also stated that she currently lives in Al Bada’I` Al Wusta, Al Qasim, Saudi Arabia. Her live video was posted on Facebook on May 15, 2017, at approximately 10:10 p.m.

However, upon checking Mariano’s Facebook profile as of this writing, her latest status featured her saying that “she’s safe now” and that she was already in the airport. The status was posted on May 18, 2017, at 9:00 p.m.
Here is her whole status:
Alhumdo lillah

Mariano posted a different status before that, dated May 17, 2017, at 4:15 p.m. She said that she was finally transferred from the bathroom to a different room. She didn’t cite what exactly happened to her but it could be assumed that Mariano was abused by her Saudi Arabian employer. This is, however, pure speculation.
