OTWOL Surpasses Eat Bulaga While FPJ’s Probinsyano Overrules Nationwide Ratings

Since the advent of social media and social media’s more accessible usage, people became so much vocal about posting their sides and opinions in their different social media accounts, thus, forming a huge cloud of debates and arguments. Whatever issue or news that appears, they are always on the go to free their remarks.

Most especially, when it comes to television shows, love teams and celebrities from the different networks; comparisons, rivalries, bashes and many other related terms has never been unavoidable.

Right now, the Kantar Media has officially released their television ratings coming from both rural and urban areas, in other words, the total percentage of ratings nationwide.

As shown in the table, the new Kapamilya Serye “FPJ’s Probinsyano” with 41.2 % got the topmost rank in the board. The second in the list is “Pangako Sayo” followed by “TV Patrol”, “Passion De Amor” and the primetime’s top rater “On the Wings of Love.” The top five spots were nailed by the Kapamilya Network.

On the other hand, GMA’s Eat Bulaga got the sixth spot with the rating of 22.4 %. Eat Bulaga is known to be a top rater when it comes to afternoon shows. Since “On the Wings of Love” led by one of todays’ hottest loveteam “Jadine” overtakes Eat Bulaga’s ratings, everyone is surprised. Eat Bulaga nowadays has been a “blockbuster” noon-time show after the success of the loveteam “Aldub” which became phenomenal after hitting a record-breaking number of supporters and tweets in social media. That’s why many are astounded that On the Wings of Love got a higher rating compare to Eat Bulaga.
 As expected, netizens with various views gave their opinions and defended their favorite shows. Some explained that OTWOL and Eat Bulaga shouldn’t be compared for they are in a different timeslot. Others also defended that some of Jadine’s fans are also Aldub admirers.
