Former First Lady Imelda Marcos just laughed at this burning speculation. His son Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. was able to deliver his mother’s reaction to the reporters last Wednesday. According to him, the issue about Poe’s origin was one of the topics during his mom’s birthday celebration last week and his mom just laughed at the said rumor and even joked that how can Grace Poe be Marcos’ daughter knowing that Poe has a very white complexion. Senator Grace Poe and Senator Marcos just addressed the rumor like a private joke in a senate kiddingly calling each other “bro” and “sis”.
Back in martial law days it is rumored that President Marcos had an affair with movie star Rosemarie Sonora and it was bruited that Grace was the fruit of their romance. According to rumors, the girl was later on adopted by Sonora’s older sister Susan Roces and husband Fernando Poe Jr., the king of action movies.
