In China, a picture of a 7 year old boy with a long messy hair covered with dirty clothes riding at the back of his father’s cart with a pig took a massive outrage in the country's social media.
It is later found out that this boy had been abused and neglected by his parents reported by the villagers who witnessed the miserable scenes of the child around the area. The little boy named Liu Hongbo lives in a rural village outside a pigsty in Eastern China.
The only income that they get is from his father who raises pigs and drives a rickshaw which is not enough to support their needs. His father works for long hours leaving Hongbo alone with his mom.
According to the neighbors, his mother is suffering from mental illness that she used to hit her son’s head either on the floor or door several times. It is also believed that his parents even let him sleep outside despite the extreme cold weather brought by winter. The Neighbors with much pity reported his case to “Puyang Loving Society”, a group who’s always in action to help the indigenous people.
Now, the young boy’s nightmare in God’s grace has finally ended. Authorities had now put him in the custody of his aunt. Volunteers of Puyang Loving Society even visit giving him much love and medical attention. Hongbo will also receive a monthly stipend of 500 Yuan until he reached 18 as a support from the local government.
