Do you like eating pancakes? If you do here’s a video for you. It’s not your ordinary pancakes you eat at breakfast, but with an extraordinary twist. This will prove to you that cooking is really an art.
Who does not eat pancakes? I believe all of us do. It’s a common food item that we eat at breakfast or snacks. I guess some of us who are not foodies might ask how they’re cooked. Well, let’s have a short tutorial, if you don’t mind.
It’s called pancakes because they’re cooked in a frying pan unlike real cakes that are baked in conventional ovens. With just some basic ingredients and a bit of mixing, and you’re good to go. It’s very easy to cook even for beginners. The ingredients you’re going to need are: flour, butter, milk, cooking oil, sugar, salt, eggs, baking powder, baking soda and flavoring like vanilla. The ratio of each ingredient is best read in cookbooks for you to get the desired texture and taste.
Don’t worry about seeing many ingredients. It’s not that complicated. When you’re sure about how much of each ingredient is needed for a batch, you’re ready to get mixing. You just dump all the ingredients together, or if you want to follow some standard steps, you’re free to do so. All it needs is a good mixing until all lumps in the batter disappear. Now you’re ready to cook it, just be careful. It needs moderate heat.
Now, you have a pretty good idea on the basics of cooking pancakes. If you happen to get the hang of it, I guess you might want to try this pancake with a twist on the video.
Look how the girl makes an anime designed pancake. It looks yummy, but also pleasing to the eyes. Children are going to love it. She had with her a model anime picture that she chose to use for the pancake design. As you can see on the video, the girl kind of like sketches the outline of her design on an unheated pan using the batter. She carefully does all the finishing touches until the outline is complete. The girl then lights up the stove on a medium heat, I guess, and start to cook it. Seeing that the bottom part of the design is already browning, she then covers it up with some pancake batter and cooks the entire pancake all the way through. And there you have it. An anime designed pancake. Looks cool.
The short video is something like a tutorial. It’s just simple. Even a kid can do that. It’s fun to know that there’s also another way of expressing your love for the arts, and this time, it’s with food. Isn't it exciting? Parents could teach it to their kids and make them inclined to arts and may want to pursue it when they grow up, don’t you think?
You could try experimenting with other designs if you want to. And by the way, if you see the ingredient preparation complicated. You may want to buy some ready-mixed ones in boxes at the supermarket. Happy cooking.
