No other love is greater than a mother’s love to her children. From our newborn stage to adulthood, her love never subsides. The happiness of a mother upon giving birth and by just having the first glance on her baby is priceless and immeasurable, but what if as a mom expected to be loving and responsible you accidentally ended your little angel’s life.
This is sadly what happened to Ruth Schofield. Ruth had no idea that she possesses a virus called Herplex Simplex Virus. HSV is a common viral infection that can be spread by skin-to-skin contact. It is commonly accommodated with a cold sore or fever blister. She gently kissed her baby whom she named Jennifer without knowing that she just contracted the virus.
According to her, the day that her angel died was a total shock. She couldn’t believe it was only afterwards when they discovered she had contracted HSV. The virus spread in all her organs, in her brain-liver-kidney until on the eleventh day little Jennifer’s body had shut down.
